Sponsored by the National MS Society
Minnesota Chapter
About MS
Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic disease that alters the lives of its victims and their families. People living with MS face countless physical, psychological, and emotional challenges every day.
We invite everyone living with MS to join our journey to living well with MS..
Meetings
Our meetings are open to couples and individuals who are living with MS. We meet on the second Saturday of each month at Courage St. Croix in Stillwater, Minnesota to support one another, and to share information about research, treatment, and other topics related to living with MS.
During our meetings, members share their strengths, skills, insights, successes (however small) and their hopes. We also take time for general discussion topics and speakers invited to share information with the group and answer questions.
We meet at Courage St. Croix, 1460 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater MN 55082 on the second Saturday of each month from 12-2 p.
Our Mission
- To support one another and our families as they confront the challenges of living with MS by listening, empathizing, and sharing our challenges and successes.
- To explore research and treatment options through reading, discussion, and presentations.
- We respect the confidentiality of information shared by our members. What's said in group, stays in group.
- We listen, explore options, and express our feelings. We do not prescribe, diagnose or judge. We talk about what has worked for us; we don't say, "I think you should..."
- We encourage "I" statements, so that everyone speaks for themselves.
- We encourage members to share their strengths, skills, insights, successes (however small) and their hopes.
Special Events
Plan to join us on the fourth Saturday of each month for a relaxing evening with good food and fun at one of our favorite restaurants. Mark your calendar and expect a great evening. Contact us to request more information.
